I know that is a strange reply to your post....but I have been trying to convince my SO that he doesn't need to spend 1/2 our savings on a chicken coop. He helped our (only) neighbor build their coop and wants to "top it"....it's a guy thing, I think. I have been trying to convince him that we can save a LOT of money by using pallets and other salvaged items. (I already picked up a window along side the road that I hope to put in backwards so I can open it from outside and save my shoes from poo residue)
I am showing my SO your coop pics, hoping he will try to top your savings, instead of the chicken mansion next door.
