Hello everyone! I bought my dream home out in the country with plans to have my own chickens eventually. “Eventually”happened sooner than I intended when a family member needed to move and gifted me with her one-year-old laying hens along with their coop. I’ve had them since Spring of this year (2021).
I have three Rhode Island Reds, one Buff Brahma, one Black sexlink, and a sweet little Dominique. I’m married with two little girls and a full time job so six chickens is plenty to start with. There’s so much to learn!
I found BYC through Pinterest a couple months ago. I finally joined because the longer I have these little cluckers, the more I realize how little I know and I need help!
