Another dog attack!!Erica saves the day!

Wow, am I glad to hear that ended well! Your neighbor sure doesn't appear to have a care for how that dog can get out of the yard. We know Buddy is a digger and one of the first things we did when Buddy came to us was to install good stiff hardware cloth right down under the fence into the ground. We still don't allow Buddy into the back quarter acre which is unsecured and where he could get to the neighbors animals!

I would not have been as kind and would have made sure the dog never got up again. Our police are just too far away to be of much help should a dog decide our livestock looks good or wants to take a snap at one of us. Alot of us depend on our chickens for more than just sitting pretty and when our way of life is threatened, we have the right to defend it.

It's so sad that people are not responsible pet owners. I am a HUGE animal lover and will save anything, but when it comes down to protecting my family and my beloved animals (who are part of the family too), I don't hold anything back. You did the right thing and I'm so glad you got there in time.

I'm done using bats and shovels. I've upgraded to a 12 ga.

I'm tired of the neighbors dog killing my chickens and cats!!! My daughters favorite cat is MIA and the dog has killed some of our barn cats before!!!

Glad to see you don't have to worry about the dog anymore!
