I got my second egg today, ok really my first, this one didn't have a crack in it.

Take a damp papertowel and rub the dirty part off.
3.) How long before they start laying every day?
Depends on your pullet. some hens do not lay every day. some lay every other day. As she grows and matures you will see her eggs get bigger and produced on a regular cycle.
