Another first!! weee!!

One of my 'babies' laid her first egg today!!!

It was in the golden/orange tibetan group, I'm thinking it was probably my full-orange tibetan girl, I have seen her being mated. But yay!!!

So what do I do with it?

Should I open it, to check for fertility, or pop it into the bator??? I usually don't pay any attention to them, just add new eggs in as extras with whichever batch is going out. But the next batch isn't due till Thursday, and well, that's just too long!

Put it in the bator.

NOOO bator it! You can always use more birds, wether for breeding or sellin!

eating it is soo just a waste

Lucky for me (or would it be lucky for the egg?

) I'm allergic to eggs, so I don't eat them anyway. Now my son, on the other hand, well, that's a different story.

He'll turn his nose up at any chicken egg, but give him some scrambled quail eggs and he's in heaven!!
