Another gender question.

Look towards the base of their tail, you'll see the feathers "drooping/flowing" off to the sides (sorry I don't have that app that I can circle the feathering) . Hackle feathering is along the neck will be thinner & again flowing effect.

EDITED: They will be soon. Are there other Roos around? My girlfriend has older Roos, her SLW (4mos) cockerels are & LO (12wks) is trying to copy but still not quite there, ha ha

yes, that is exactly what I saw, the saddle feathering. we don't have any older roosters we do have a neighbor and we can occasionally hear their rooster but they're pretty far away.
