Another girl affected- what to do?

Corid is not the solution of anything
If their poo have abnormalities like blood mucus or anything odd similar with coccidiosis I only start corid then ..but otherwise I will look and inspect more symptoms

If u lost two earlier have u done autospy on them ? To know what's going wrong

I feel like ND (Newcastle) did they stumble like drunk , can't able to walk?
But it can.be a Nutrient Requirements Or Vitamin Deficiency
In India People Treat ND with.help.of Garlic , basil , neem along with multivitamin threapy and their chooks Recover

Some deficiency mimic like dangerous diseases or virus

I see Her PICS she's having clear eye no pale , no redend feather , no black marks on feets , no discoloration NO Marek's

Can you buy some.poultry multivitamin and start giving her i.will recommend give straight in her beak 1-2 drops for daily

I'm sure u will see improvment

But do tell her poop how it looks like.?
Poop is hard to say- I haven’t seen her go. The feces I do see varies from firm to runny, many colored (white, black, green- never red)

6 chickens were purchased from a feed supply store (local). One turned out to be a cockerel, and was returned and replaced with two new hens (within about 3 weeks of original flock). No new birds since then.

Coccidiosis didnt come from bringing in new chickens then.

"lethargy, closed eyes, head down, little to no drive to eat or explore..."
All these are signs of coccidiosis, runny poop and green and white in stool are also signs, blood in stool is a dead give away, though not having blood doesnt rule it out.

Corid isnt going to harm them any and if you continue treatment until its finished, I think like 5 days or something like that, and they improve you'll be glad you did. I would not stop treating for coccidiosis, finish the cycle. I'd keep giving them Corid and go from there. Coccidiosis can kill within a day or 2 after noticing it. Ive had it happen many times.

Of course Id isolate the sick ones, but also medicate all other chickens at the same time. If it is coccidiosis theres a good chance they dont have immunity to the strain in your soils.

That being said it could be other illnesses at play and not coccidiosis, but from the symptoms you've listed theres a good chance it could be.

**I hope this helps, if not I hope someone else has good insight to treat whatever illness you have at play. I'm just a guy who's had coccidiosis hit his flock many times, coccidiosis, bumblefoot, and mites are the main illnesses I've came into contact with while raising chickens.

Today she’s on her feet, but squatting with her eyes closed- the only water she’s had is what I trickled down her beak and throat (which seemed to make her worse- loss of ability to stand, walk, or keep balance for about 20 minutes afterwards). Here’s the question: let her struggle against this, or put her down?

She’s alive today, but didn’t leave the coop- if a hen survives, how long will she stay like this? Would it be merciful to cull her, or better to see if her struggle ends in recovery?

Adult chickens should all have developed a natural immunity to Coccidiosis by the time that hen begins laying. My opinion is that you are looking at a different problem.

So are you saying that it cannot be coccidiosis because of the pullet's age?

Maybe it is just me, but I would give her longer for the Corid to work. Can you mix the treated water with some of her feed to get her to eat? Perk her up with some of her favorite goodies? Isolate her in a warm, dark, cozy place? Electrolytes. I had a pullet look just like yours (eye and everything) and she perked up after 2 days on Corid. Now she is head hen.

And I have treated twice for coccidiosis (with quick success) based on similar symptoms to what you describe (and no bloody stools). But I know next to nothing -- so hopefully others will weigh in, too!
