OKAY - trying not to panic, our power just went out!! Very random and I’m hoping it will come back on soon. We are on day 14 of incubation. I wrapped the incubator in a down blanket to try and keep the heat in. Is that sufficient? Are there other tips and tricks for this? My husband is going to start a fire in the Woodstove soon and we can carefully move the incubator in there if needed for heat. It gets pretty warm. I’ve never experienced this before, I really don’t want to lose the chicks. 😔 I just added a down sleeping bag over the top of the down blanket as well. I’m really hoping that will keep the heat in.

Did the power come back on yet? You did great with the blanket, that is exactly what you should do. Eggs have a lot of mass and hold their heat for quite some time. In nature the hen can get off the nest for an hour or so in search of food or a predator nearby. As long as the heat comes back on in a few hours, usually they do ok.
