My husband found a bucket of food (we store our food in home depot buckets) in the garage. It would have been from the summer, august time frame. Is it too old to give to my chickens?

I would stir it and smell it, to make sure it's not moldy. If not, it should be okay. After all, no telling how long the ingredients sat around in warehouses before being sold!

If it's still dry and crumbly then give it a stir and a good sniff. If if doesn't smell bad then feed it out. I'd mix it half and half with fresher feed though. Summer heat in the garage is bad for the more sensitive vitamins.
