Another "I can't wait for my chicks to hatch" post

No other chicks and all I saw was darkness and the air cell :/

I have looked at undeveloped eggs before and could see the clearly defined yolk so I know at least something is going on...

I thought they should hatch Thursday or Friday but figured there may be a delay because the mom was off the nest. The air cell seemed pretty clear with no pips. Is it possible to hear a peep before they pip??

Hmm. They have to be internally pipped to peep (at least peep loud enough to be heard). Is it possible one pipped the pointy end and you just missed it?

There are five eggs I only candles two of them so perhaps 1) I am imagining things which is entirely possible or 2) some of the others pipped. I’ll try to peak at the eggs again in the morning. I really want some babies

Has anyone had a chick move into the airsac while they were holding the egg to candle? I'm hoping that's what happened with one of my eggs

Sad news, my flock was attacked by a bear but my mama and her eggs survived. By some small chance when I checked my
Calendar date again I realized the hatch date said Thursday aug 27th I’m losing my mind.

I had the egg in my hand to candle, it felt like a tap on the egg and suddenly the whole egg was dark. No airsac to see like normal.
