I live on 5 acres about an hour from Portland, OR.
This year we decided that we needed to make things a bit more sustainable out here with all that is going on. So we've started with chickens and a garden. For now we have 4 Buff Orps, based on information I got mostly from this site. Eventually we'd like to have 8 layers and a rooster.
We hope to get a few other animals in the future.
I've been reading for probably 6 months but just now decided to start a user name of my own.
Most of my questions are answered by searches but I'm sure I'll have more. Thanks for a great resource.
