Good luck with building your chook farm. If you knew my interests, you would never see me as the sort of person who'd like chooks either!

I hope you find everything you need on the forum.

Hello everyone. I am toatally new here and do not have any chickens. However I grew up with chickens and around farms etc. So --- I hope it is O.K. for me to join. I also have a question: I have been vermicomposting (composting with worms - red wrigglers to be specific)for the past year or so.The casings left by my compsters create a rich soil enrichment for my flowers and vegetables. My question is how does one control the appearance of millipedes and other less desireable insects within the composting biomass without causing harm to the red wrigglers? I am not sure if this question is appropriate on a chicken site - but I thought that people who raise chickens would be more able to answer this question.
I live in Atlantic Canada and so far we have had an unusually mild fall - no snow yet. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and how things work on this site.

Thanks friends, Karachi is a big city in a country known as Pakistan, its 67 degrees west London (longitude) and about 25 degrees north of equator. It shares a big chunk of arabian sea coast, a really hot a humid place with just couple of months for winter, which starts in mid December.
Pakistan's immediate neighbours are china, india, afghanistan and iran.

It's really hot here too, although not so much humid.
