Hey y'all (said with my Southern accent)
*NE Georgia*
I'm gonna snag these *starter* questions and see where/how that goes
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No, not really "new", but not a "long time" either. I work at a large Hatchery and started this position in May.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Haha! 6 playing in a basket, about 200k hatching for tomorrow. Roughly 800k-1m PER WEEK! (NO JOKE!!)
(3) What breeds do you have? Ross, Cobb, Hubbard. (golden birds)
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Google! Thank you Big G for my new ADDICTION!!!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I'm a crafter (cards, scrapbooks, anything really depending on my mood)
and I'm a "retired" YouTuber. Not a bad amount of subscribers (I call them FRIENDS) for a small town Georgia girl
I use to design for several small companies using their products. I would show projects, do tutorials and full process videos. Sometimes I miss it, but I also know I just don't have time for it right now. But I do craft every chance I get.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Happily married to my best friend of 11 YEARS, (but we've only been married for 3 1/2 years). Have 3 adult daughters (plus 1 that I call "mine") and we have 6 Grands (4 boys and 2 girls). Ages 6 months to 10 years old!
We both work at a large Hatchery. He's the Maintenance Supervisor (responsible for all setters, hatchers and machinery... as well as his "crew")... I do QA Admin work in the office, but I enjoy "working the line" and playing with the babies, which I do 4 days a week.
We have 2 dogs (German Shepherd and a Yorkie) and 1 cat (that thinks he's a dog!!!).
Ruger & Kimber (anyone know those names?!) and Coet ("Rocket" in another language) We live in a small town NW of Atlanta, GA. and LOVE IT!!!
My Dad recently had 2 strokes and a massive Pulmonary Embolism, which has caused him to be in a nursing home. I go everyday for a few hours and visit with him. So, currently I feel like Im working 3 full-time jobs! (Work, Dad and Home life)
Anyway, hope that wasn't too boring! I had some other things to tell about us, but I've been typing this for about 4 hours and need to finish! (Just adding during my breaks)
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT INVESTS THEIR TIME AND KNOWLEDGE TO THIS SITE!!
