Starting with a basic shed seems to be a good direction. I don't have one to convert, however, so I'll be building from scratch. Considered buying a Tough Shed to save time, but can't bring myself to spend the money. Anyway, I need room to isolate chickens when needed and to introduce new chicks to the flock. It would also be nice to be able to set up the feeder and water can somewhere that's not under their roost. :p

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out. My predator problem was partly of my own making. I went for such a long time with no incidents that I became careless. Anyway, automatic doors are awesome.
