Looking for chicken advice about burrowing gophers, ground squirrels, wood rats, and aboveground - Bears!

If dogs and cats are a possibility, I'd look into the Humane Society for both. We have both and they keep the rodents and varments at bay. The bear we just shoot a shotgun in the air. They leave.

We had a solar electric fence around our bees and hung bacon strips on it. Never saw anything happen but they never got disturbed either.
