I was born in W.Va. my Daddy and one of my sister's still live in Ripley on top of the mountain. It sure is beautiful.
Sexlinks hens lay huge eggs, very good choice for egg layers.

Ok, I must admit, I am torn between Sexlinks and Rhode Island Reds. Was raised with RIRs, however I want larger eggs and many of them, so I can balance what I will be spending on the Sexlinks. I hear the Sexlinks are great producers. I've heard that they lay about 330 eggs a year/bird on average whereas RIRs will lay on average, 200 something/yr. I also hear the RIRs are most commonly known by people as a "brown egg layer", but that they are just the most commonly referenced bird by the general public when talking about a "brown egg layer". Is this true and do the Sexlinks really lay that much better?
