Another newbie here

My name is Rick and I'm an American living in Australia. Have decided to raise chickens for eggs and meat. I have started to build my chicken coop and it's turning out to be quite a project. I took the idea from the coop on BYC. Although with my own touches of course. Been wanting to to this for sometime and finally taken the plunge. I wont be getting chickens until spring (over here, thats around August/September) as I think it would be better to start off when it warms up.
Looking forward to meeting lots of new people here.

Nice coop. That scene looks very Australian. Where abouts are you? I live in Adelaide, although I'm originally from the UK.
We got the second group of our chickens in June, so I think you're very wise to wait till spring.
