Hi everybody! I just got my very first chicks and turkeys yesterday. We bought 4 pullets and 2 poults and I'm already in love with the little fuzzlings lol! A little over a year ago we moved into our new home and we have 3 acres of land. Last year we started the garden and this year we decided we were going to raise chickens (and the turkeys were just too cute to pass up!) We also have a 21 year old son who is Autistic (high functioning) and he's excited about the little buggers too and is eager to learn and help out. I am so glad I found this site, I had a couple questions and forums from here popped up. I'm so glad because I've found so much information on here. It's also nice because my husband is retired and I work from home as a life coach and herbalist, so we have lots of time to work in our garden and now, with our new feathered additions. It's an exciting time for all of us!
