Greetings! I am very new at raising chickens and an trying to learn all that I can. I have wanted to have chickens for years, but also liked to travel. Didn't feel that I could do justice to chickens with my traveling, so I enjoyed my friends' chickens. Since this virus has destroyed international (and national) travel, I decided to use it as an opportunity to get chickens. I think I will be home for a few years, so what better time! I ordered 18 chicks and they arrived about 2 weeks ago. Started building my coop at the same time. Almost finished with the coop. Really only wanted about 12 chickens, but read you can expect a couple of deaths and a couple of roosters, Figure I can re-home a few chickens ifneed be. My chicks are very healthy and have done well since arriving. Have not lost any. Have truly enjoyed them thusfar! I live in Wisconsin between Green Bay and Milwaukee-near the lake.
