Another "not so typical" newbee, saying hello out there.

I am a small hobby farmer in WNY. I have many different kind of animals, and probably just as many questions. I am desperate to find answers or help with my male emu. He seemingly overnight lost half his feathers. I have searched & searched, anyone out there ever experience this, what do I do, besides make him a coat, that he doesn't seem to mind wearing by the way.
