Ok so am I correct on counting? I set the eggs 6-14 about 1pm, so I should expect a hatch ~ July 1st, assumming 18 days? I wanna put it on the calendar, but I don't wanna fumble it.

I just set some eggs shelley sent me I put them in the egg turner and had to modify the turner so I could set buttons as well. I just cut up one of the egg cartons and put the little cup in the turner so the buttons don't fall through the hole. Should be a nice mixed hatch.

Thanks! I'm in grad school, and taking an additional class at the state college in town this summer (and teaching summer school in the mornings), so I'm really trying to not flub things. Thank goodness I can hand the kids to Mr. Saddi so I can get some work done.

5-7 times a day would be fine, my auto turner turns them 6 times a day.

Ok so today Boyd suggests I have a plan in place for hatching day, so the babies don't fall to thier death..... (thanks man something NEW to fuss over)

I took a ruler to check the basket, and it fits from side to side snugly (had to dremel off part of the basket lip, and it's a snug fit)
But there's a 1inch gap where the basket's short end doesn't fit the door. I'm thinking if they hop the wrong way they could fall down that, but can they really jump the 3 inches to get out of the basket?
