My rooster had two tiny black tips on his comb that seemed okay until Saturday when they appeared swollen and started bleeding a lot. I have been putting Betadine on him since yesterday morning (twice a day) and he already appears somewhat better, the swelling is a little less and the comb does not appear to be bleeding. Can anyone tell me how long to continue the Betadine treatment and is there anything else that I can do to help him? Thanks!

I haven't tried the betadine on my rooster, he has some frost bite also, I have been putting neosporin on it, I would be worried the betadine might dry it out too much..

I was using the Betadine to dry it up because it was so bloody and weepy.....I wonder if I should switch to Neosporin now that it has dried somewhat.
