Another progesterone implant question.

I’m sure some of you remember my issues with Dudley and her issues preventing her from laying. She’s getting the implants but they’re only lasting 2 months maximum. Wondering what dose others are getting that they’re getting 4 - 6 months from them . I took some info to my vet this last episode about 2 weeks ago where she had a lapse With the implant and I had to break and flush 3 eggs from her she’s back on antibiotics and doing just fine. Just trying to get a full handle on this and what’s available. The info I took her was for the the suploren 9.4 mg implants and she said she can’t find where they’re available in the US . She was willing to get them if I could find where. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

I remember someone was going to have it done but I can't think who it was. It was back a while ago though.

If I have to I’ll just stick with the dose she’s getting. It seems like it wears off at two months almost exactly. From now on I’m going to schedule her in before the two months is up so she doesn’t need to go through getting any more eggs.

Thank you ! That is helpful. I'm familiar with that brand name and took that to my vet last time but wasn't sure if it was the 9.4 mg dose. Maybe the 4.7 mg dose is what they're using and getting longer results with.

I never got the notification for this, but my vet is going to do the Lupron shot because they stopped manufacturing the deslorelin implant.....I guess
