another question...maybe a dumb mistake.

As soon as I can, I will catch her, but she's not exactly standing around anxious to see me. When she does see me, she's out of there.
She looks more normal today. I wonder if this could be just hormonal? Broodiness? She still has her wings out but no longer really acting
distressed, she's eating, drinking, and harassing the chickens.

It's been in the high j70s low 80s. But we think we have figured it out! She thinks the pullets I mentioned earlier are HER babies! No wonder she can't find her eggs, they hatched! (lol....

) She has been following the pullets everywhere...moaning at them, trying to shepherd them around, overseeing them as they forage. She gets very worried if we come near them. She insists on sleeping with them at night. They are totally confused about who this big bird is that has suddenly taken an interest in them. In a way, it's a good deal for them, as she is certainly protecting them the way their real mother would, something they don't have. OMG, I will never ever mess with her nest again, or Snap;s either!

LOL my hens baby anything in the brooder once they hatch their own babies and i put them in there with them, it is adorible.
Congradulations on figuring it out.

This is one of my hens with the babies after they stated to roost, it started to rain so i had to go out and cover that area with a tarp to keep them dry as there were to many to fit under her wings.

here she is feeding them meal worms.
