Another round of hen or roo!

Anyone willing to play hen or roo? We got 7 sexed pullets, but are wondering about this little one.

He/she is a 4 week old silver laced Wyandotte and seems to just be feathering out so much slower than everyone else, especially the tail. They all have long tail fluffy feathers and this one has a little stumpy one still. The rest of them are the same age but all different breeds, so I have nothing to compare to… I’m happy to wait it out, just figured I’d ask opinions!

Can you post pictures of them when they are 6-8 weeks old? They're easier to sex when they are older.

Too young for me to tell. Feathering speed isn't a reliable measure except between the same breed and even then only in breeds with feathering speed differences and in lines that maintain the differences. For myself I know my barred rock chicks will feather at different speeds between the sexes but that could just be the lines I have. Also not that helpful because barred rocks are autosexing!
My partridge rocks have feathering speed differences but not due to sex, I don't know genetics well enough to understand why

I’m calling it… roo. looks just like my GLW ‘pullet’ at that age. By 8 wks its pretty clear. I’m no expert btw but I can’t resist playing Hen or Roo.

Current guess is all pullets based on the yellow/pink combs. Would suggest keeping an eye out for the combs turning red though.

And yea, feathers don't mean much at this age unless they are one of a very few number of breeds.

If that is a barred rock in the front, that one is definitely trending toward pullet with the mostly black setup. Males have extra barring on them (white) so tend to be much lighter in color.

The one in question (in the front) is a silver laced wyandotte - at least that is what she/he was sold to me as.

My BLW had a much redder comb and more wattles at 4 weeks but my GLW is hard to tell because the comb is a dark colour but there are little to no wattles on that one even now.

Based on my very limited knowledge I'm guessing pullet.

I've read/heard Wynadottes are difficult because some are faster than others and some are super slow to show but my two I'd they turn out to be a Roo and a pullet then they've followed the norm -

BLW - showed early comb and wattle development, reddening significantly earlier, squaring up to obvious male, slower to feather, much bolder - that little one runs at me when I open their door!

GLW - faster to feather but little to no comb or wattle development. Will hide back and is last to come forward. More skittish and very chatty!

Back with a follow up! She is 7 weeks old now!
Don’t let the neck feathers on the side view trick you… the white part (looks pointy) is at the center of each feather. The black surrounding part of each neck feather is very round…
