Just curious...but how can you tell that it's a male?

Males retain the barring on their backs. Hens lose the barring . Thats why i say the smaller one is a hen. Looks like the barring is going away

Has anyone a picture of the difference between the sexes reguarding the barring on peachicks backs.

Hi adriano,
If you hold your peachicks in each hands, you will notice the colour of primary flight feathers may not be same,

Male peachick have more orange primary flight feathers and barred back.

Female peachick had browner primary flight feathers and more plain brown back.

Yep the barring is what really helped me to sex my peachick Peep. Peep looks just like that larger peachick you have and he is a male. The smaller one looks like a hen.
