I have a flock of 18. three are males and the rest adult hens. They free range 5 days a week. get a local layer feed and some milk every few days in the feed. The seldom get apples or blackberries as treats.

This is the second hen from the same breeder who is slugish(not sure if that is because they are the same age). She is 3 i think this summer. They didnt lay until they were almost 10 months then of course it was almost winter. She is still laying but not active. She hides in the barn when let out. I thought it was because of the males, but now im not so sure. She eats cat food that falls on the floor with the cats are eating(probably 3 pieces) but just pecks slowly at her feed and picks out what she prefers. I make sure she has her own pile in the morning. She is losing weight unfortunately. I just dosed her yesterday with toltrazuril for coccidia. She does have loose stool. I am thinking i need to give her a dewormer? i have ivermectrin or valbazen. Which one should i try? I do not have the funds to do a fecal sample. I am going to try to see if mixing her feed with an egg will help tonight.
I lost the other bird, but she was pecked on the head and couldnt keep her balance and unfortunately i had to cull her due to not getting any better. I looked up mereks and its not what it was.
I have not had any new birds.

ok thank you i forgot last night and she doesnt look great. SHe wont eat now and just stands or hides. I force fed her a bit this morning but not enough to sustain her much longer. no mites that i can see. everything looks clean, eyes clear. ect. I will get it in her tonight. I hope it helps.
