Another Socal newbe

Hello BYC, My name is Steve, I live in Orange, CA and I was at one time an avid quail breeder. I have always had at least one chicken until about 5 years ago when I redid the backyard and tore the coops down. I got the bug again...

Since then I've been forced to eat store bought eggs. Well I finally got tired of buying eggs so I converted half of my side yard into another chicken pen. It's 6'x6'x20' so they'll have room to roam, plus I have a nice size yard that I'll let them scratch around and eat all the bugs (hopefully).

I've been looking around for layers (I only want 2) and the best ones seem to be in Norco, CA. I also found a couple private party adds on Craigslist but that place scares me a little. So going through the internet and looking for answers is how I found this forum. I'm hoping there are some Socal members here that I can get some useful information from. I guess my 1st question would be who's the best local breeder to buy from.
