I have 4 eggs on their way from a FANTASTIC BYC member who read about my plight and turned into a superhero to my kids.

Once the eggs arrive, how long do I let them "sit" and "settle" from their trip?

I have a cabinet incubator and holders that do not fit the giant eggs. Anyone have any advice how to set 4 eggs in? I used a lid of a tupperware with the sticky no-move shelf liner to help it stay in place... even though the egg did slide around a few times.

I am so excited about the eggs coming!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FARMCHICK897 for making my kiddos and I so excited and happy....

I have her first three eggs of the year. Two of them are ready to hatch any day, they have been wiggling when i take them out of the bator.

@TEXASCOWBOY: I don't have anything to measure their weight with?!?!? I can see if I can locate a cheap scale???

@MITCH: Isn't she the greatest?!?! How long did you let yours sit before putting them in the bator?

let them settle 12-24 hours, 24 is better point down in a cool place, as for holders in the cabinet, use an egg carton, cut off the bottom flat part and ether tie it to the 'bator or use a different carton to hold it in place, I use egg flats with the bottoms cut off

I let my Emu eggs sit 36 hours on their side undisturbed....then place them in the bator on their sides..never point down for Emu eggs.
