Les Lye http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Lye was an entertainer from Canada, who was also very active in promoting awareness of Juvenile Diabetes. His daughter is a friend of mine and submitted her dad's name as one of the choices for naming the city archives after. After announcing that the choice would be up to the public, the mayor then announced his choice. A bit of outcry led to this poll being put up.
