Another Weird Roo

    LauraSBale Chillin' With My Peeps

    I have a Americana Roo, Well he was suppose to be a pullet, he make the quoo sound that a hen make when she is laying, and he goes in there egg nest and keeps going in circles trying to make a nest and then trys to lay a egg, but then he very aggressive to the girls, his pulled out feather from a couple of the girls. Very Bad Roo. [​IMG]
    If some one wants his Free or his going to soup. when the meat birds are ready for D Day

    He's not actually trying to lay an egg. He's showing the girls that the nests are a good place to lay an egg. He's offering encouragement.
    Sometimes a hen loses a feather or two as part of the mating process. Is he actually pulling out the feathers or is it during the mating that they lose them?
