Another what do you think it is?

I got 3 chicks from the pullet tank at our local feed store, They were supposed to be barred rocks.

Im fairly confident one is, The other two who knows.

I know its pretty early to tell male vs female, but any help there would be great too. They area approx 5 weeks old and doing quite well watching me build the "omelette shop".

Congrats, you have 2 golden laced somethings! I was going to say Wyandottes but since I can't see their combs can't say for sure. Your third one does look like a barred rock. Ok, so if the combs are flat compared to the BR they *should* be Wyandottes. Coming from a feed store though they are likely hatchery quality which means sometimes GLW will have single combs like your BR should have. All in all, very nice birds though, I love my GLW. She's so pretty and friendly, my hubby even likes her coloring the best.

They look like Gold Laced Wyandottes to me too!

Looks like my GLW, but without seeing the combs, I can't be sure!! Can you get us some more pictures?

Okay here are some of the fronts. They do indeed look like Wyandottes now that I have looked at some other photos of them. THANK YOU. I will try to get some better photos of their heads when I get a free moment. Both of them appear to have single combs developing, one is very much red the other is somewhat darker. They have all been getting along well so far.

I have really enjoyed this site so far, and am excited to get them moved into their official home.

Well, definite rose comb developing so I would say Wyandottes. And the one looks like a little roo to me... Anyone else think so???
