Another Whopper Egg Thread... 3.5 ounces

Now that is some egg! ... and might I say "youch"!

I see the three and I have never seen that before. It is a first for me, too.

That is my sweet Sunny, my only hen to ever go full blown broody and raise chicks. And yep, she always gets her sunflower seeds. She's an angel of a hen and a fantastic mother. Bet that one was quite the YOUCH!

Wow I can not believe that was a one yolk egg. That giant yolk must have been some GOOD EATS!

These are my two big eggs from yesterday.....I really think one will be a double yoker but not as sure about the other. I collected the really large one right after it was laid I am pretty sure it was one of my beautiful barred rock girls...Gertie or Nadine.

WOW Cyn, I can't believe it had the three blastodiscs in it!!! I would have thought it would have been a double yoker myself since all of mine that size have been double yokers... a couple of our girls have been laying the huge ones. Just surprises me that they do lay such big ones, and I wonder at times if the hen is still alive too LOL.

My RIR agatha is laynig big eggs but if she layed one that big I'd be worried that she wouldn't lay again for a month!

I'm going to have to get me one of them there scales just to see what we're getting, but they're not that big.
