Casualty of the economy.

I got laid off this morning. They were paying more in Ebay and paypal fees than they were making. I knew this. I was just praying that they would give it til the warmer weather arrived and the country maybe gained a little ground.

Anyway. The office manager told me that they arent giving up completely on the online thing. And I gave her the onlineauction website info, again. Last week the big boss was out and so was the sales manager. So there was no one to discuss anything with. And they are paying me for a full week(last week I was out all but Monday) So I have to go and get my last check Thursday. *sob*

I really loved working there. I loved the people. I loved the job and having my own office. I loved that I could drop my dd off at school and pick her up in the afternoons. And that I had my weekends free to spend with my dh and dd. I knew I was very lucky to have that job. I guess the "good part" of this is that it wasnt anything "I" did. And that if things do start looking better come the warm weather they are going to give it another try. Or if they look at the other site they might give that a go. Which I am honestly hoping for. For what the boss wanted, it does make more sense financially. Although OLA doesnt have the exposure Feebay does. Yet. *I wonder how pushy on that issue I can be* heck I can set up a free standing .com site for them for what they were paying me. I have done it before with my own online store

I have already updated my resume to reflect my time spent there. And will be sending it out. But I have to tell ya. Little to nothing is going to beat this last job.

One door closes so another can open.

That's all I can think and hope for....
