Answer to really hot days! Ice chips!

I was sitting outside with a big glass of ice chips watching my Pekins. They started panting so I thought I'd offer them some of my ice. Wow! They loved it. They were tiny ice chips and they went crazy for them. Cooled them off and they stopped panting. I threw some in their pool and they had a ball chasing the floating ice. Who would of thought ice would make them so happy?

I have a couple of ducks that LOVE ice. Whenever their pond would ice over in the winter and I would break up the ice, they would eat the smaller pieces like it was candy!
