If it was a bite from a dog, I would encourage you to use penecillin. I would give 1/2 CC twice a day for short acting penecillin or 1 CC once per day for long acting. Also, blue-kote is a good idea, but remember it dries the wound. If it's scabbing and ripping over and over, switch to Red-Kote which moisturizes and is better for long and wide wounds.
If it's just a wound from a cut or getting caught on something, I would probably skip the antibiotics until you saw sign of infection. Waterfowl have a very high body temperature which makes them extremely susceptible to infection. However, a deep penetrating wound into a muscle is an idea haven for anerobic bacteria to harm your bird.
