Oops, I accidentally posted this on the "Flock Management" forum, sorry. I am a newbie! But anyhow, last week one of our hens (a six month old New Hampshire) was attacked by a dog. She had multiple puncture wounds that were taken care of by the emergency vet. She finished her last dose of Clavamox last night. How long do I need to wait for it to get out of her system until we can start eating her eggs again? Thanks!

I would wait at least 2 weeks. Our own flock is on antibiotics for respiratory issues, and I will choose to not eat their eggs for a month. The great thing, is with the dwindling daylight hours, our flock went from laying 2 dozen eggs a day, to only 1 or 2 eggs a day! The timing couldn't have been any better.
