Hello ,

I want to know about antibiotics , suitable for bumblefoot and intestinal track infection s.

Currently I have

Suprax
, amoxicillin ,
bacteim and
Tylosin+ erythromycin+ furaltadone

Currently my bantams are on flagyl, they had resish brown poops, previously they were on sulfa drug which I stopped on day three as they had started impaction in the crips.

Now on flagyl, but still not eating properly. Pale comb and wattles. Rooster has bumblefoot. Now I just want to shift then on an antibiotic which can tteat intestinal infection and bumble foot too.

Any suggestions please.

Thanks.

Can you have droppings tested so you know what you are dealing with? How is their body language? If it's coccidiosis, you need a coccidostat, like Amprolium.

Online, it says the Bactrim is to treat GI infections, but that is for humans. I would definitely wait for someone with more experience to answer this post.

As far as the bumblefoot, photos would be helpful. You will likely need to handle your rooster and get the kernal/scab out of his foot. I don't think you can treat it fully with oral antibiotics alone.

Fecal test report came out negative for parasite. I guess coccidiosis is a parasite too.

The scab is like a black seed at the center of the foot. I have applied an antibiotic cream to that. But he needs oral antibiotics too.

Bactrim , is good for intestinal track infection s, but I don't know either it's going to work for bumblefoot or not.

Will upload the pictures too.

Thanks alot !!!
