Antibiotics - once or twice daily?

Hello BYC - I'm treating a duck for an infection and have seen conflicting advice.

I'm using the 10% enrofloxacin and she's 8 lbs - would be grateful for confirmation on dosage and schedule as I calculated it at 0.4ml but am not sure if that's once or twice daily. I'm giving it to her orally.

She's seeing the vet on Monday but I'm concerned enough about infection that I wanted to get her started now.

10% enrofloxacin and she's 8 lbs

The recommended oral dose is 10-15 mg/kg twice a day.

10 mg/kg math for 8 pounds - twice a day
8/ 2.2 x 10 / 100 = 0.36ml (I'd round up to 0.4 ml) twice a day

15 mg/kg math for 8 pounds - twice a day
8 / 2.2 x 15 / 100 = 0.54 ml (I'd round up to 0.6 ml) twice a day

The 15mg/kg dose seems to be what more vets prescribe.
