Antibiotics - treat, pause, then treat again?

I've got one chicken who has been sluggish for the last few months. A month ago I gave her Clavamox pills for 5 days and she got slightly better (maybe coincidence).

Can I give her another 5-7 day treatment?

Yes. You won't hurt her with another antibiotic treatment.

I usually go for 7-10 days depending on the severity of the illness and how it progresses.

After it's over you can give her some plain yoghurt with feed mixed in, it's a treat they love and it's a good probiotic to restore the good microbes that were killed by the antibiotic. Make sure the label says live culture or get it from someone that makes it at home.
