Antics and age

I am new to raising chickens and new to the site. I have nine red sex links that I purchased at the local feed store seven weeks ago. Their combs are growing and their waddles are showing up a little. I would like to know if anyone has a guess to there actual age?
Also they have a odd thing they do(or maybe not so odd). Out of nowhere two of them will run at each other, do a chest bump with hackles flared or just jump over the other one and then walk off like nothing ever happened. they where all purchased together and have just started this a couple of weeks ago as far as I know. Is this just part of the pecking order, as it is different chickens at different times.

I have some Red Sexlinks in my brood of chicks. Mine will be 6 wks old ... What your describing sounds normal to me ... I bet yours were not very old when you bought them. Without a picture it is hard to guess. Mine do that chest bump thing too.

Thanks for the reply. Another person asked me if I was sure that they weren't roosters. All I can answer is that they wer all sold to me as hens. I will try to send some pics as soon as I can figure out how. Thanks again

if they are red sex links, and their color is red, they should be pullets. it is a natural thing, I believe it comes from the rhode island red in them.
