There are 3 legs that I haven't attached yet.

I would put the hand warmers under a towel or piece of fleece so no nails or beaks can poke them.

Wishing you the best in getting it up and running. Before your chicks arrive. The one that I have keeps chicks plenty warm, out in my unheated coop. Even during February and March. Unlike a plate brooder. They can’t get on top and make a mess either.
