Shame! Shame! On You! Now I have a new auction site to check out.

I love any kind of old wooden crates. I have quite a few here from explosives, produce, bread. Don't know what it is about them but I just collect them like "normal" people would collect stamps, or figurines.
The egg ones are very cool.

Someone had one in perfect condition, still had the paper to rap the eggs with, he said they used to mail the eggs in them. My dh said to get it, but I didn't,

it was only $20. Maybe I'll see it again....
