would tin pans work? this thing is so adorable! i am trying to figure out how to clean it up. not bad for a dollar! it was 50 cents but he didnt have change.

oh that would be cuuute. i love stuff like this! i cant believe that it still works so well.

That is SO cute! Wonder if it was originally made for kids?... *scary though though..lol*

yeah it doesnt smell bad or anything like i thought it would when i plugged it in..the plug is so interesting too..its all detailed and stuff. someone must have taken pretty good care of it.

is there a way to get the rust and spots off of it? i think it would look better if it were all the same color.

good point! i just cant believe how adorable it is..i love toys.

Soap & water is best on old stamped tin items like this. Dawn dish soap works well. Harsh cleaners will take the paint and all off or at least fade it out more. But from a collectibles standpoint cleaning it would lower the value. Most people like the old patina.
