Ants! Help me get rid of em

one of my chickens is quarantined from possible Merrick’s disease. Recently it looks like ants have found their way into her little shelter, how can I get rid of them? I don’t want them bothering her. I don’t want to use something too strong because her immune system is pretty weak right now. I have sevin dust, will that hurt her?

Do you have some powdered cinnamon? Ants hate the stuff.
People use Sevin dust all the time for chickens it should be fine on the floor of the cage too.

cinnamon works great and it will not hurt the chicken. I used it on my goat feeder and it keeps the ants away

I used Boric Acid to get rid the ant. Since not sure about the ant type, you need to mix Boric Acid with sugar, possible cooked meat, sweet fruit. To be safe, you may want to use something like beer bottle so other animal can get to it.
