I noticed this morning that the backside of my loft had an army of ants cruising on the wall.
What can i put to get rid of them that will not harm the pigeons?

If you have a safe place to put a couple ant traps, THAT is the way to go. The ants gather the feed from the trap, feed it to the queen, she dies and the entire colony dies shortly after. Your problem will be solved within days.

OOoo ooo! I'm a pest control technician and a pigeon flyer so I got this. I would also use an type of ant bait (liquid bait is best.) SInce there is no major food source at your loft they will take to it quickly. Liquid sprays (not aerosol) are fine to use on the outside, and on the inside while the birds are removed until dry. I have had ants build nests under the birds nest and they killed the squab.
