Never use DE.. there are so many people that say it’s a miracle for chickens- but it’s a silent killer! Since it’s made of rocks, it is very sharp, dust sized sharp and when it is inhaled it makes microcuts, in their lungs!

It sounds like it is better not to use near birds just in case. Thanks for the input!

The one thing I would encourage every Mama of children and chickens or pets to always do is do their own research but always always go with Mother’s intuition and by doing so go with your gut instincts and you will never have a problem laying your head down at night knowing you did the best you could do and what you thought was right and best for you child or animal/bird.

Permethrin livestock spray in a gallon sprayer is the way to go.
