Hey guys, tonight my eggs turn 6 days old! Tomorrow I will be candling my little guys! I am SOOO excited!!:wee:love I finally found a place on my house where the temp of my incubator isn't CONSTANTLY fluctuating! I need some help deciphering whether the eggs are healthy and growing, or if they have stopped. Can you guys please post some pics? Thanks so much! :thumbsup

It is very very exiting to candle sometimes I would candle on day six and day seven lol but what's even more exciting is lock down and waiting for them to hatch if you want to post some photos when you candle I could tell you how they are doing lol I'm not an expert but I could do my best good luck with your hatch:frow:jumpy

At 7 days I’d expect to see a good amount of veining. If your eggs are really dark eg Wellsummers or Marans it may not be very evident though. A non fertile egg will just look clear. If in doubt I leave mine in the incubator for a few more days.

I don’t have many candling pics but there’s some good videos on YouTube. In the meantime here’s a couple of duds. Pic one is a quitter (note no veining, just a dark, dead mass) important to remove that although this pic is more than a week in. The other pic is an infertile egg.
