Hi All, A friend of mine just gave me 16 chicks and 24 eggs to hatch from his line of BB Red Bantams. I think they are just awesome and want to raise this line for showing, the roos come rose comb & green legged. Was hoping to get some opinions from those that show this breed or perhaps from any ABA judges that might be out there.

Here's the rooster, I think Lewis (my friend) told me he is going on 2 years old.

So what do you guys think of this line of BB Reds??

Yes, that's what they are. Lewis, the guys I got them from is in his 70's and has had this line of birds for more than 20 years. I really like them & hope to raise show nice show birds out of them.

Good question, I don't know. Some of them come straight comb, most come rosecomb. This is the hen that just happened to be in the right spot for the photo op.

And neither BB Red OEGBs or BB Red Rosecombs have green legs. The female is single combed so obviously not a Rosecomb but her white earlobes would disqualify her as an OEGB.
Sorry, nothing to show them as.

I would not breed to any females who have single combs.
