Sorry, ChickenLady, but I have 8- 6-week old polish chicks (4-Blues and 4-Gold-Laced), and one day I see 4 roos... and the next day I see 3 roos... and I have even seen 8 roos!!! :barnie Just too hard to tell at times. I had a friend finally tell me I probably have 4 roos... and of the three (Moe Larry & Curly) I would never have suspected to be roos! In this pic they are only 3 weeks old!

Any ideas about the sex of these

I think the second and third one are Roos they have standoff’s lol still hoping for hens the first one is my fav shhhhh
I think you are right! My babies are 7 weeks and Moe, Larry, and Curly turned out to be Moe, Larry, and Shirley!! Moe and Larry have spikes in their hair like pin feathers and Shirly has a bouffant, soft feathered top! These are White Crested Blue Polish chicks! I have one other blue with the bouffant feathers and sure enough, she is a she! I am positive now I have 2 males and 2 females of the four because the two males both are now showing their little red wattles!!! I will have pictures tomorrow to show the difference! Maybe I can get some help with identifying the GLPs... As for the Gold Laced Polish chicks??? Of the four I haven't a clue! :idunno

Looking again, I think 3 and 4 are roos and one and two are pullets! Whatever sex they are, they are beautiful! I fell in love with the Polish breed after being given Poli as a gift in the flock of baby chicks my hubby and I ordered from Murry McMurry Hatchery! He is very intelligent and at a time when his hormones should be raging, he is gentle and very devoted to his hens!
